One of the great jewels of our church melodies to which researchers turn their attention from home and abroad, especially believers, is Negru Voda Monastery fortress, one that testifies the millennial Christian tradition of the Romanian people.

Romanians found themselves at the crossroads of all ages roads between East and West "in the way of all evil" - by word of a chronicler of the seventeenth century - and they had throughout its history to achieve a balance between the Greek world and the glory on the one hand and the Latin - which they belong - on the other (a Latin island in great glory). Advanced spirituality was of a people, not an elite, which is why he and withstood millennia. Origins of Christianity Romanian people to be confused with those of his training, so after a few centuries appeared a wholly new Christian nation. This has been the case since the Christianization did not order any product from authorities, but slow and the flesh, and the role of monasticism in the progressive formation of the Romanian spirit is undeniable.

Literature, on the history of our ancestors is extremely broad; in works of ancient Greek and Latin writers preserved behalf of the people who once lived on these lands: the Geto-Dacian.

To find out who they were, they had the famous Herodotus to write his "History". He was the first to give a genuine longing for the days of world history will worship Getae more than a few words.

Our ancestors are surrounded by an aura of mystery regarding their Christianization. While in other places (eg M-keeping Buzăului.) Cave churches can be reconstructed only by assumptions based on limited data material, however a group of cave churches that have remained until today functions Altar of God located in a triangle as mysterious, in a patronizing ecological niche habits, customs and traditions Romanian. They Muscelului area and cave churches in operation are: Ravens Rock, Negru Voda Namaesti and fortress; the area found certain material evidence proving that our ancestors were - as is often said - Christians before Christianity.

Over time the oldest place of worship once was and now Dacian Christian, had a sine existence, knowing both flourishing period and deep periods of desolation and destruction. These places by the sea of religious goods that they contain extremely rich and historically, both geographically and by great personalities who have made their mark on here including the following: Fazel Persian scholar and politician od ol Lah -From (1247-1318) who writes in Djamiot Tevarikh (amount histories) struggles Tatars on Romanian territory (Valagh); Paul of Aleppo etc. [Cave church]

In this place his name Citadel Negru Voda, will find refuge in silence together in prayer walls and hermitages, Nicolae Alexandru Prince John Prince Radu Negru, Vladislav Vlaicu, Vlad Tepes, Michael the Brave, Matei Basarab in 1634, Constantin Serban Voda 1658, Constantin Brancoveanu - martyr - the 1690 decree which was painted in the second layer of the rock church; Constantin Cantacuzino, 1775; Romania's first King Carol I, who visited the ruins of the ancient city several times. [Votive painting]

The hermitage were interested many Romanian scholars, historians, archaeologists, people of culture and Balcescu, Al. Odobescu, Gregory Tocilescu, Nicolae Iorga, IDŞtefănescu, Dinu Rosetti, Traian Dorz, and others. [Votive painting]

Beautiful travel notes were sent to us for the priest and writer named Gregory Pisculescu known Galaction; "We surround past shadows of what surrounds us kneel Fortress, which cut off the enemy's life path and came into this valley. We surround thoughts, insecurities and fears of the hour."

Like a phoenix reborn from its ashes, so he shook the dust Citadel past, the dust of time, reînflorind through prayers fragrance that rises again.

The feeling that you try these places, even stopped by simply being, is the silence of purity, you feel that you have found nature in a state like the start of centuries.

Life here is rough, tough as it is excavated rock church, only the truly full of dedication managed to stay a lifetime, until physical death, standing in prayers and labors of all kinds.

The oral tradition records that the three major hermit hermits who have made an oath here that left him as the rule dwellers in the fortress; "The covenant will be the order will be taken, nothing is missing ..."

Since 1992 it became hermitage monastery. Since 1993 belongs to the Diocese of Arges and Muscel and Grace Bishop oversees walking Calinic spiritual and administrative monastery.

With 1993 the monastery begins a new period of recovery for that long leaving time to time and decay, secularization, indifference to religious life and the vestiges of the past have led to the gradual decline of the settlement. To revive this ancient place of worship must be both material Particular efforts especially spiritual.

Freedom recovered in December 1989 - now misunderstood by some - make those people who come to the monastery to not realize the true spiritual height that represents life in prayer.

Among the works carried out since 1993, they can be listed; construction of a new bell tower, an bibloteci - which currently contains a total of 5,000 books, "building a warehouse for materials and objects, new porch to the cave church, holy water, etc. cells for the monastery dwellers

After word of Christ who says "whatever you ask believing, you will do to you", so the fortress, a place so steep electricity was introduced in 1997. Just dream came true when installed funicular necessary food transport, materials and especially water. Faith is our personal power; people are powerful creators. They are born of faith in the universe, and everything they create is based on faith. Our entire creative power is invested in our beliefs, and because we believe in them, they represent for us the reality.

Hermitage Church of the Holy Hierarch Modest

The thought of "vasiliadele" Archbishop of Caesarea in Cappadocia (Basil the Great) made possible the fulfillment of another dream, the construction of a Hermitage - St. Hierarch Modest and lifting house and church St. Chiliilor subdued Romanian Valley of the monastery fortress.

Case and power are given by the strength of faith springing from evangelical words.

Since the summer of 2000 Citadel Negru Voda Monastery, publishes a magazine of spirituality [murmur Hermit] which includes: news, children's page, medicine, spirituality, and other treasures of Romanian Orthodoxy.

Love really is so deeply implanted in the human soul that even the most inveterate heathens love and respect truth and honest people. Who does not want to lose self-respect must always tell the truth. However would rise up against his fellow man, would occupy any position in society, have any capacity if not love the truth, he loses self-respect and also to the others.

Love really did occur and this work simple, it can highlight the way you think of a person as a simple person but God has placed HOPE.

Dacian times praying between the cave walls of fortress, and since the birth of this nation when Christianity was kindled the flame which lit paths of his life, the light of faith has not died and will not go out until the end of time.

As long as there are people on this earth, thirsting for God, they will always climb stairs faith that their ancestors arrived from millennial cave shadow small church.

We firmly believe that God will defend the power of this place full of holiness to our ancestors.

From cliff-top fortress of Negru Voda, and now urge people to keep faith in God unaltered, Way, Truth and Life.

Legende
